Hate speech case against Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed during MK Raghavan’s Election Campaign

Case against Congress spokesperson Shama Muhammad. The Kozhikode City Police registered a case against Shama Muhammad on the complaint of giving hate speech. The FIR says that Shama Muhammad’s speech during the election campaign of UDF candidate MK Raghavan in Kozhikode is spreading hatred.

Shama Muhammad’s speech was that if the BJP comes to power again, there will be no Christian and Muslim mosques. The police action was taken following a complaint filed by Thiruvananthapuram native Arunjit to the Election Commission. After the police registered a case, Shama Muhammad came forward with criticism. Shama responded that he did not say anything wrong and did not know why the case was filed.

‘I have spoken about Manipur, I have not spoken against any religion. Nothing hurtful to any religious sentiment was said. Kerala police quickly lodges an FIR when they become Congress workers. This can also be the case with BJP people’- said Shama Muhammad. Kathima Muhammad asked which party the home minister of Kerala belongs to.
