Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Kerala Again

The Central Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the state again. As a precautionary measure, Kannur and Kasaragod districts are under orange alert today. Yellow warning has also been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.

The current rainfall is the result of the influence of the low pressure area that existed from north Kerala to south Gujarat coast. At the same time, though the rains have subsided, the possibility of high waves and storm surges continues, so the ban on fishing from the Lakshadweep coasts of Kerala and Karnataka continues.
