Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is currently experiencing intermittent heavy rainfall. According to the latest report from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert has been issued in two districts today. There is also a warning for the possibility of isolated heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
The yellow alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts. Rain warnings have been extended for these districts tomorrow as well. The IMD predicts that the rain will continue until Friday.
Additionally, the National Centre for Ocean Information Services has issued a warning for the Kerala coast, stating that high waves of 0.9 to 1.0 meters and the phenomenon of “rough sea” are expected until 11:30 PM tonight. Fishermen and coastal residents are advised to exercise caution.
