The Central Meteorological Department has warned that rain will intensify in more districts in the state in the coming days. Low pressure is located over central Bay of Bengal and north Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Center has informed that the rain will intensify under the influence of this.
The low pressure moving northward is likely to intensify into a severe low pressure over northwest Bay of Bengal near West Bengal North Odisha Bangladesh coast by next day. It is forecast to move over West Bengal and North Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh region in the next 3-4 days. The announcement is that widespread rain will continue in the coming days. The Meteorological Department also said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places till Tuesday.
The Central Meteorological Department has also informed that there is a chance of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places today. Yellow alert has been announced in Kannur and Kasaragod districts today.
