The Central Meteorological Department has said that the intensity of rain is decreasing in the state. A strong depression formed over the Arabian Sea and a strong depression over the Vidarbha region have weakened to low pressure. The low pressure area over North Kerala coast also weakened. There is a possibility of low pressure again in the Bay of Bengal by tomorrow. Rains are likely to continue in all districts of Kerala with breaks.
The Central Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places today and strong winds with a speed of 30 – 40 kmph (maximum 50 kmph). Meanwhile, no alerts have been announced anywhere in the state.
The Meteorological Department has informed that there was no ban on fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts in the last few days. Strong wind speed of 45 to 55 kmph is likely over most parts of Central West Arabian Sea and northern parts of Southwest Arabian Sea till Saturday. Fishing is prohibited in these areas.
