Kochi: After the release of the Hema Committee report, the public has begun to learn about several shocking incidents within the film industry. Many individuals have given statements related to this matter. However, reports suggest that most of those who have provided testimonies are not interested in pursuing legal action.
The Hema Committee report, which studied the issues faced by women in the film industry, will be presented again in the High Court today. The government will inform the court about the next steps, including the registration of cases. The complete Hema Committee report has been reviewed by female officers in the Special Investigation Team.
Based on the information, the committee reached out to actresses and film workers who had given statements. However, it is understood that most of them are not willing to proceed with legal action. Currently, a case has been registered only against the makeup manager in relation to a complaint filed by a makeup artist from Kollam.
