Mahe Native Nikhil Handled PR Work for the Chief Minister

As allegations arise that private PR agencies are being relied upon to enhance the Chief Minister’s image, more information about Nikhil Pavithran, who is accused of conducting PR work for the Chief Minister, has come to light.

A native of Mahe, Nidhin has been studying in ooty for most of his youth. He later settled in Mumbai. He typically returns home to attend major festivals in Mahe before heading back. Nikhil Pavithran is the chief of a company called Kaison, which operates out of Mumbai.

Kaison Global, a public relations and digital marketing company with a presence in both India and abroad, has clients including Vedanta and the Nasscom Foundation. Founded in 2008 under the leadership of Vineet Haanda, who has experience in marketing and PR, the company has become a major player in India.

Nikhil Pavithran, a Malayali and president of the company, operates primarily from Mumbai. He joined Kaison as vice president in 2018 and became president in February of last year. This company has now become embroiled in the Chief Minister’s “PR controversy.”

Meanwhile, a day after the clarification from “The Hindu” newspaper regarding the Chief Minister’s interview in Delhi, which reportedly included anti-Malappuram remarks at the request of the PR agency Kaison, neither the government nor the party has prepared to confirm or deny this information. In the meantime, a competition among CPM ministers and senior leaders to assert that neither the Chief Minister nor the party requires a PR agency has also sparked curiosity.
