Kochi: The Kerala High Court has intervened in the case of the death of a worker in an accident while removing garbage in Amayizhanchan stream. Court appoints amicus curiae on waste issue The court observed that this is not the time to blame each other.
The court was shocked by Joy’s death. The court directed that an urgent solution should be found in the garbage problem. The court asked the amicus curiae to submit a detailed report after visiting the pond and the incident site.
The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation should immediately stop the dumping of plastic waste into the stream. The court asked them to clear the garbage from the railway site and to complete it immediately. The High Court said that it is not enough to solve the current problem, but also to avoid the situation of dumping garbage again in the future.
