Pathanamthitta: A hotel employee was caught with 4.5 liters of foreign liquor at Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The arrested individual has been identified as Biju, a native of Kilikkollur in Kollam. Intelligence agencies have deemed the smuggling of liquor into the highly secure area a serious security lapse.
Sabarimala is a completely alcohol-free zone, with strict checks in place for devotees entering the premises. However, reports of liquor being widely available, even within the Sannidhanam, have raised significant concerns, according to intelligence reports.
Biju, an employee of Shasta Hotel near the NSS building at Sannidhanam, was apprehended by the police this evening from the hotel premises.
