N Prashanth, IAS, who was suspended for criticizing the Additional Chief Secretary on social media, has once again come out with a sarcastic post. He came up with the post after the hearing of Chief Secretary Saradha Muraleedharan. Prashanth wrote in the post that each file should not be seen as an opportunity to take one’s life and that the file was kept hidden for three years even though there is a law that it should be disposed of within six months.

I have been too busy to respond to the numerous messages and calls asking about the details of today’s hearing. I will try to take detailed notes. The gist of what was said at the hearing is as follows:
1. My promotion, which has been unjustifiably and illegally withheld since 2022, should be given immediately, even though the law requires it to be resolved within six months. Don’t see each file as an opportunity to take your own life.
2. This farce should end here without trying to start another investigation in the name of a Facebook post that is unconstitutional and against the All India Service Rules.
3. Dr. Jayathilak, Gopalakrishnan and the leading newspaper should be charged with crimes including criminal conspiracy, forgery and tampering with government records.
4. Rules and regulations apply to the government. Doing the opposite and saying, “Well, go and file a case” is not a sign of a fair administration. I have not filed a case against the government yet. Please do not create a situation for that.
5. There is no compulsion to rush to withdraw my suspension without resolving any of these issues. I am not Gopalakrishnan, who is suffocating outside the government system.
