In the case of the baby falling down during the weight offering, the police registered a case against the weigher

Pathanamthitta: The police registered a voluntary case in the incident where a ten-month-old baby fell to the ground during the weight offering. The case is against Sinu, a native of Adoor, who is a weigher in weigher’s cage. The FIR states that the baby fell and got injured due to his carelessness.

The baby fell on the ground during the weighing of Garuda at the famous Ezhamkulam temple. The baby was rushed to the hospital and is still undergoing treatment. The hospital authorities informed that there is no need to worry about the health condition. The incident happened last day.

With the footage of the incident circulating on social media, criticism is being raised on the grounds that the ritual is being performed without the necessary security measures in place. Yesterday, the Chairman of the State Child Rights Commission had directed the District Child Protection Committee to take action in the incident.
