Kochi: KD Prathapan, the first accused and the company owner, who was absconding in the Highrich online fraud case, appeared before the ED. It is not clear whether his wife Seena will be present for questioning. Both were asked to appear for questioning. But only Pratapan reached the Kochi office today.
Earlier, KD Prathapan and his wife Seena were absconding after the ED raid on Hirich offices. Later, he approached the Economic Offenses Court in Ernakulam with an anticipatory bail application. However, the court clarified that the accused should cooperate with the investigation. It was after this that Pratapan appeared before E.D. today.
ED found that there was a black money transaction of more than 100 crore rupees. It is also reported that money received as deposits from people was sent abroad through hawala. Once Pratap’s interrogation is over, there is a possibility of arrest.
