Ministers in Narendra Modi’s cabinet maintained a clear lead in the first hour of vote counting. National media reported that Amit Shah is ahead by 1.24 lakh votes in Gandhinagar. When the postal votes were counted, Amit Shah was leading by 35,000 votes.
