Instagram Influencer Mubeena Arrested for Theft to Fund Luxurious Lifestyle

More details have emerged about Instagram influencer Mubeena, who was arrested for theft to fund her luxurious lifestyle. She was apprehended for a case involving the theft of approximately 17.5 grams of gold from the homes of relatives and friends in Chithara, Kollam. The police arrested Mubeena following a lengthy investigation.

Mubeena was found to have taken six grams of a gold chain that was kept at the home of her sister-in-law, Muneera, along with two chains weighing one gram each and two gold bangles weighing two grams each. The investigation into the disappearance of these items led the police to identify the Instagram star through CCTV footage.

Muneera discovered that the gold had gone missing on October 10. She then reviewed the CCTV footage, which showed Mubeena arriving at Muneera’s home at 10 AM on September 30 and leaving shortly after. The footage also indicated that no one had visited the house until October 10. After gathering all the evidence, Muneera filed a complaint with Chithara police on October 12.

Muneera expressed her suspicion of Mubeena to the police. Earlier, in January, a similar theft complaint had been filed against Mubeena by her friend Amani at the Chithara station. It was during the investigation of this case that the police received a complaint against Mubeena, which included the CCTV footage. The police then focused their investigation on her.

Mubeena’s husband, an autorickshaw driver, recently went abroad. However, the police discovered that Mubeena lacked the financial means to sustain the lavish lifestyle she was living. At the time of her arrest, she possessed a mobile phone worth 1.5 lakh rupees. Initially, when questioned, Mubeena did not admit to the theft.

Subsequently, after the police presented evidence, Mubeena confessed to committing both thefts. She told the police that she stole to maintain her luxurious lifestyle. Some of the stolen gold and money have been recovered from Mubeena’s house. Mubeena, who gained many followers on Instagram through viral videos, has been remanded to court.
