Kannur: Close sources to former Kannur District Panchayat President P.P. Divya have denied rumors of her plan to surrender in connection with the ADM Naveen Babu suicide case. Divya, who faces abetment charges, will decide on further steps after the anticipatory bail order, expected on Tuesday.
Divya’s stance is that she will consider surrender only after knowing the court’s decision on her bail plea. In her plea, Divya argued that her farewell speech was well-intentioned, without any incitement to suicide, countering the opposition’s claims during election season.
