Thrissur: Thrissur NDA candidate Suresh Gopi said strict action will be taken against the culprits in the Karuvannur scam. Suresh Gopi said that there is no doubt that the culprits will be punished. Suresh Gopi also said that ED’s action is at the administrative level leaving politics behind.
Meanwhile, ED will soon issue notices to more CPM leaders in the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank case. Currently, the ED notice has come to Thrissur CPM district secretary MM Varghese. It is reported that the leaders MK Kannan and AC Moideen will also receive notice soon.
ED claims that cooperative registrars are also involved in the case. The ED pointed out that the registrars had concealed the audit information for 10 years. The move is to make those who were in charge during this period accused.
ED is becoming active in the Karuvannur case as elections are near. There are already complaints that the ED investigation in the case is dragging on. The High Court had also directed that the investigation be completed as soon as possible.
