The Kerala High Court has sharply criticized the sudden hartal declared in Wayanad, stating that such actions are unacceptable. A division bench remarked that organizing a hartal in a disaster-affected region is disappointing and questioned how it could be justified.
The court also took aim at the ruling LDF, asking why they resorted to a hartal and whether it was the only form of protest available. Highlighting the challenges faced by people in the disaster-hit region, the court emphasized that such actions add to their misery and cannot be condoned.
