In the case of a young woman who went missing from Karunagappally, Kollam, police have registered a case against her mother, Sheeja, based on the woman’s statement that she left home due to alleged harassment by her mother. Following counseling, the woman was reunited with her family.
Aishwarya Anil (20), daughter of Anil and Sheeja from Kuzhithura Marakkassery in Alappad, went missing on the morning of November 18. She was later found at a meditation center in Thrissur. She reportedly traveled by train from Karunagappally to Thrissur and then continued her journey by bus.
Aishwarya was attending online classes for a private entrance coaching center. The night before she went missing, she had an argument with her mother over playing online games. The next morning, Sheeja left for work at a private firm in Chavara around 9:30 a.m. and attempted to call Aishwarya an hour later, but the calls went unanswered. The incident came to light when a neighbor was informed about her disappearance.
