Kerala is ready for tomorrow’s Lok Sabha election

Only hours left for Kerala to vote in Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The advertising campaign ended at six o’clock yesterday evening. Today is the time for silent campaigning for political parties. 194 candidates are seeking the mandate in 20 constituencies of the state. Polling will be from 7 am to 6 pm on Friday.

25,231 polling booths have been set up in all 20 constituencies in the state. There are a total of 2,77,49,159 voters this time. 6,49,833 of them are maiden voters. There are 1,43,33,499 female voters, 1,34,15293 male voters and 367 heterosexual voters in the electoral roll this time. 25231 polling booths including 25177 booths and 54 sub-booths have been set up. 30238 ballot units, 30,238 control units and 32,698 VVPAT machines will be used for polling.

In the 2019 66,303 policemen have been deployed to provide security for the Lok Sabha polls. There are 62 companies of Central Army for additional security. Police districts are organized into 144 election sub-division areas under 20 district police chiefs.
