Pathanamthitta: The collector of Pathanamthitta took action in the incident of leaking the list of polling officials. LD Clerk Yadu Krishnan Collector S. Prem Krishnan has been suspended. The list was leaked to WhatsApp groups from his hand. The District Electoral Officer informed that when he got the information, the officials were replaced and the problem was resolved.
Following the incident, Congress candidate Anto Antony protested by sitting in front of the Pathanamthitta Collectorate, demanding immediate action. UDF leaders were also with him. The protest was alleging that the list was joined by employees belonging to left-wing organizations.
Antony Antony had alleged that most of the appointed polling officers belonged to the Left. Information about the polling booths and the names, addresses and phone numbers of the officials assigned there were given to the CPM offices and party workers. In the complaint filed by Antony Antony, it was alleged that flagrant violation of election procedures would lead to false voting and influencing the officials.
