Kerala schools reopening on June 3; Chief Minister instructed to complete preparations on time

Ensure safety and maintenance of the school. A fitness certificate should be obtained for all school buildings before the commencement of the academic year. The school and its premises should be cleaned.

Ensure clean drinking water. Unused vehicles parked in schools should be removed. Unused furniture and other equipment should be removed or stored in a separate room. Endangered trees, boards and hoardings in the school premises should be replaced. Electric posts and electric wires standing in dangerous condition on the way to the school and in the premises should be avoided.

School buses and other private vehicles used to transport children to school should be checked for fitness and a certificate should be obtained. Appointed mentor teachers should ensure that they arrive on the opening day of the school to ensure support and opportunity for tribal students to be educated in the tribal language. Tribal promoters should ensure that all children reach schools.

Clean school should conduct green school campaign. Clothing, book and lunch should be ensured. It should be ensured that the use and sale of intoxicating substances does not take place in the school premises. The excise department and the police should inspect the shops etc. at regular intervals. The Chief Minister also suggested that the district-level public vigilance committee should meet at regular intervals and evaluate the anti-drug activities. In the meeting, ministers V.
