Let’s join hands for Nimishipriya

In the case of murdering a Yemeni citizen, Nihimishriya, a native of Palakkad, Kollangode, is in a Yemeni jail awaiting execution. But if the Malayalis join hands, the young woman may be able to be brought back to life.
Deepa Joseph, who is also a Supreme Court lawyer, is asking for the sincere help of the Malayalis for the release of Nimisha.

The main part of the post shared by her is that soon Prema Kumari along with her mother Samuel will visit her daughter in Sana Jail. Arrangements for negotiations must be made immediately upon Samuel’s arrival. The family has to be persuaded and prepared to accept the blood money in the discussion of the tribal chiefs. The next few days are crucial. If the family of the victim is willing to accept blood money, then what is needed is the help of well-wishers.

The full format of the post is as follows:

My answer to the questions of many people who know that I worked for Nimisha’s release 🙏🏻was at the end of 2019 when I learned about Nimisha in Sana Jail. Later I met Nimisha’s mother. Reached their eastern house. Found her husband Tommy. Talked to daughter Michelle.Started talking to Nimisha who was in jail.By March 2020 this matter came up for discussion at DMC..

The time when Justice Kurian Joseph and former Rajya Sabha MP Alphonse Kannamthanam were in DMC. Mr. Jayaraj Nair and I argued that we should try to release Nimisha. Later others said that this will not happen. If this was the first reason for the division of the DMC group, many who opposed it then would be famous today. For Nimisha Priya’s case and using press media. social media. Later I contacted her then lawyer Abdul Karim from Nimisha. The importance of covid.. he was asked for each file.. he did not have all the documents in his hand because it was during covid.

Then Samuel Jerome Bhaskar, who had been working in Yemen since 2017 and was trying to free Nimisha, found out the state of affairs. So in September 2020, Nimisha’s Appeal Court verdict came Capital Punishment. I still remember calling Nimisha in tears.. First, a 5-member WhatsApp core group consisting of me and Samuel making Samuel paid 20000 Riyals for the copy and translation of the court judgment on 20 September 2020.. The document for the appeal is being prepared.

At the end of September 2020, Shri Babu John contacted me. He is interested in forming a committee called Save Nimishapriya. He asked me if I would cooperate in it. So in the month of October, an action council was formed and I became its global vice chair. The central government has appointed a new attorney. The Action Council has intensified its work.In 2021, the High Court upheld the judgment of the appeal court.

In October 2023, the Supreme Court also upheld the death penalty. But the option of blood money was not mentioned. A pre-negotiation discussion was held under the leadership of Samuel Jerome Bhaskar. Then the action council did not work properly.. The news spread in the media that some prominent people were leading the action council.. Some of the things that were said to the media made the court proceedings a problem.

In fact, capital punishment was awarded to Nimish by the Yemeni Supreme Court in the first week of October 2023. A pre-negotiation discussion has not yet taken place. The person who can intervene is Nimisha’s attorney. Samuel Jerome Bhaskaran, who has been given power of attorney by Nimisha’s mother, has to prepare the conditions for that.

In pre and negotiation discussions with the family and tribal chiefs, things like whether blood money will be accepted or not.if accepted and how much will be decided. Here, Nimisha’s mother, family or anyone else from outside has no part in the discussion. Media should not spread false news. On December 16, 2023, I was with Subhash Chandran in the courtroom where the mother was sentenced to go in the Delhi High Court. The central government was ordered to arrange permission and facilities for the mother to visit her daughter in jail. Political issues too.The Central Government informed the court that the government has limitations due to civil war and war-like situation and the High Court ruled that Prema Kumari along with Samuel Jerome Bhaskar should go to Sana Jail in Yemen to see her daughter.

Later, Samuel and I were busy fixing mother’s travel papers. Hours long meeting and discussion MEA, Embassy.. Affidavit. So, within months, everything was prepared for Amma to go. Premakumari reached Kerala and met with Amma at the end of February. They were also gifted with provisions for the journey.. Soon Prema Kumari is going to visit her daughter who is in Sana Jail along with her mother Samuel.
Arrangements for negotiations must be made immediately upon Samuel’s arrival. The family has to be persuaded and prepared to accept the blood money in the discussion of the tribal chiefs.
The next few days are crucial. This is what I have to say to Nimisha who has been working on this Nimisha Priya case since the beginning … to her mother… to her husband… to her daughter… to the MEA… as the only person dealing with the Embassy Delhi Wanted. working for it from then till today.. watching Yusuf Ali sir’s interventions with relief remembering Oomenchandy sir’s work with gratitude. remembering coordination of action committee with gratitude special thanks to Musa Mash, Jayan Edpal, Shri Babu John.

Now what I want to say to this community. everyone should come together regardless of caste and religion to save this sister. We must work together to return a mother to a mother to return a mother to a daughter. This is a request.
Funds are needed to start negotiations. If we are sure that the charity will be accepted, if we decide how much, we should definitely have money in our hands.
