Kochi: In the High Court, the government has decided to take action against YouTuber Sanju Techi, who took a bath in a swimming pool in a car and shared it on social media. The government informed the High Court that the registration of the vehicle will be canceled and the license will be suspended for one year.
The government has stated that a criminal case will be filed and a fine will be levied for posting the footage on YouTube. These matters are contained in the action report submitted by the government to the High Court. The Department of Motor Vehicles has also announced that strict action will be taken against vehicles that violate the law.
The Enforcement RTO has prepared a charge sheet in the Alappuzha Magistrate’s Court adding Sanju and Suryanarayan who drove the car as accused. The accused have been charged with driving in a dangerous manner, which carries a prison sentence of six months to one year. He was also charged with driving an unsafe vehicle on the road. This offense is punishable by three months imprisonment. The accused have to face trial in the court.
Sanju Techi, who has 4 lakh followers on YouTube, prepared a swimming pool in his Tata Safari two weeks ago. The two seats in the middle of the car were replaced by a swimming pool made of plastic tarpaulin. Then he traveled along the road of Ambalapuzha along with three friends taking a bath inside the car. The footage of this was posted on the tube. During the journey, the tarpaulin leaked and water spread inside the car. Water entered the engine. The side seat airbag also exploded. With this they let all the water flow on the road. The RTO enforcement department noticed the videos on YouTube and took the car into custody.
