Kochi: A joint inspection report has revealed a major security lapse at Kaloor Stadium. The report was prepared by the police, fire force and public works departments in the incident where MLA Uma Thomas was injured. The inspection also found that the stage was temporarily constructed without any safety measures.
The report states that the lack of an ambulance near the VIP stage led to a delay in providing emergency medical assistance, and that untrained personnel transferred Uma Thomas to the ambulance.
Meanwhile, more information is emerging about the irregularities that took place in the program. Information had already emerged yesterday that the organizers of the program had demanded money from the dancers through dance teachers. The organizers had promised gold coins to those who would participate in more dancers.
