Malayalam Actor T.P. Madhavan Passes Away

Malayalam actor T.P. Madhavan has passed away at a private hospital in Kollam. He was undergoing treatment after his health deteriorated, and was later moved to a ventilator.

For several years, Madhavan had been residing at Gandhi Bhavan in Pathanapuram, Kollam. He was the first General Secretary of “AMMA” (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) and had acted in over 600 films.

Madhavan’s life took a difficult turn when he was found living in a lodge room in Thiruvananthapuram without support. He was later brought to Gandhi Bhavan by serial director Prasad. Even after moving there, Madhavan managed to act in a few films and TV serials, before being affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
