Kasaragod: A mild earthquake was felt in various parts of the Vellarikundu taluk around 1:35 AM. Residents reported hearing an unusual sound for about five seconds in areas including Birikkulam, Kottamatal, Parappa Odayanchal, Balaal, and Kottody.
Furniture, including beds, reportedly shook in some places. The tremor was also experienced in Parappa, Malom, Narkilakkad, and Palamkallu areas. Tadiyanvalapp was also affected. In Chullikkara and Kanjirathady, several people rushed out of their homes in fear.
