Minister Suresh Gopi Faces Security Lapse at Alappuzha Temple

Union Minister and actor Suresh Gopi, known for openly expressing his displeasure, recently experienced a security lapse at the Mannarasala Nagaraja Temple in Alappuzha, leading to frustration. After attending an award ceremony as the chief guest and participating in the temple’s traditional lamp ceremony, Suresh Gopi was unable to locate his official vehicle.

Stranded on the road for over five minutes, he eventually boarded a nearby auto-rickshaw, requesting a ride to Kumarakom, leaving onlookers surprised. Meanwhile, his vehicle entourage was stationed at the temple’s western entrance. Upon noticing the minister’s absence, the vehicle rushed to catch up with him, reuniting with him two kilometers away near a nearby temple.

After the police arrived and directed the auto driver to Kumarakom, Suresh Gopi finally continued the journey in his official vehicle. The vehicle had reportedly been moved for traffic management due to the crowd, resulting in the confusion.

The BJP has criticized the incident as a serious security lapse, while some officials argue the vehicle was only shifted to manage the heavy crowd around the temple.
