MLA PV Anwar mocked the government’s decision to make ADGP Ajith Kumar the DGP. He demanded that the uniform should be changed when Ajith Kumar takes over the DGP’s chair. Instead of the current DGP’s uniform, khaki trousers and a stick should be given.
Anwar also mocked the RSS uniform. The decision to promote Ajith Kumar to the post of DGP was taken in the cabinet meeting held today. This was done by accepting the recommendation of the IPS screening committee.
The decision taken at the cabinet meeting to promote Ajith Kumar is a challenge to the people of Kerala. No person with such a criminal nature has ever been in the top ranks of the police in Kerala. The government’s decision to promote Ajith Kumar comes at a time when an investigation into the allegations against him is underway.
