A mother and daughter were found dead in their house near Kotalikav in Kannur. Sunanda V Shenai (78) and her daughter Deepa (44) were found dead. The dead body is suspected to be three days old. The police have started an investigation at the scene.
Sunanda’s husband is late Vishwanatha Shenoy. Daughter Deepa is unmarried. Sunanda’s dead body was found lying in the dining hall and Deepa’s dead body was found lying in the kitchen. Even though it was almost ten years since he started living near Kotalikav, he did not get close to the locals.
Both went to vote on April 26. No one has seen them outside since then. The house was closed for two days. The body was found this morning when locals searched due to the stench. Then the locals informed the police. The fan and lights in the house were on.
