Thiruvananthapuram: MLA Mukesh, the accused in the sexual harassment case, has been dropped from the film policy formulation committee. The committee was formed with the Chairman of the Film Academy, Premkumar, and the Chairman of the Cultural Welfare Fund Board, Madhupal.
After the sexual harassment complaint case came out, there was a demand to expel Mukesh from the committee. Mukesh, who was arrested in the case, is currently on bail. Film Development Corporation Chairman Shaji N Karun is the chairman of the committee. B. Unnikrishnan, who was the representative of FEFCA, has withdrawn from the committee.
Mini Antony, former secretary of the Department of Culture, was the convener of the committee. C Ajoy, Secretary of the Film Academy, who was a member of the committee, will be the convener as Mini Antony has retired. Other members of the committee are actresses Nikhila Vimal, Padmapriya and producer Santhosh Kuruvila.
