Kochi: A case has been registered against the young woman’s male friend in the case of the death of a newborn baby by throwing it from the flat. The case is based on the complaint of sexual harassment by promising marriage. A case was registered against Rafeeq, a native of Thrissur, by the South Police. The complaint is that Rafeeq cheated him with a promise of marriage.
Sections including rape have been charged against the youth. The woman also testified that Rafiq tried to avoid her when she informed him that she was pregnant. The molestation took place in Tripunithura, so the case registered by the South Police was handed over to the Hill Palace Police.
The police will take him into custody immediately. The young woman still did not recover. They are undergoing treatment at the medical college. Based on the medical report, the accused will be taken into custody and questioned in detail.
