The Navakerala bus, which the Chief Minister and ministers traveled across Kerala, will start service from May 5. The announced Navakerala bus service will be shifted from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode today. The bus will be taken to Kozhikode as a special service. The bus service has been scheduled from May 5 on the Kozhikode-Bangalore route. KSRTC hopes that the bus service with toilet and hydraulic lift will be a hit.

It will leave Bengaluru at 2.30 pm and return to Kozhikode at 10.05 pm on the same route. Stops are Kozhikode, Kalpatta, Sultan Bathery, Mysore and Bengaluru. The ticket price for the service is Rs 1171 inclusive of cess. Apart from this, 5% luxury tax for AC buses will also have to be paid.

If the Navakerala bus service is successful, there is a plan to buy more buses on the same model.
