Muraleedharan said that BJP candidate and actor Suresh Gopi’s coronation should not be controversial. Murali’s reaction was when he reached Lourdes Church in Thrissur during the election campaign.
“I am a believer. No one’s faith will be questioned. Muralidharan said that Suresh Gopi’s submission of the crown was not seen as political. Before his daughter Bhagya’s wedding, Suresh Gopi presented the crown in the form of Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral.
Recently, a Congress councilor of the Thrissur Corporation came forward demanding to know how much gold is in this crown. Congress councilor Leela Varghese raised this issue in the Lourdes parish representative meeting. The move came after the allegation that copper was plated with gold in the name of gold crown.
