Central government approves UP government’s proposal to rename eight railway stations in Amethi

Lucknow : Eight railway stations have been renamed in Amethi. It has been decided to name temples, acharyas and freedom fighters. The Union Home Ministry has approved the Uttar Pradesh government’s proposal.

Union Minister Smriti Irani said that the central government is trying to preserve the heritage and uniqueness of the places in Ametha and to uphold the culture. Eight railway stations in Ametha have been renamed. Smriti Irani also said that it has been decided to name temples, acharyas and freedom fighters.
