The police filed a Kappa case against the four accused who got bail in the Panoor bomb blast case. Kappa was charged against CPM-DYFI Activists C Sayuj (24), Sabin Lal (25) Akshay (25) Shijal (28) Jhansi Road. Sections punishable by imprisonment for six months have been imposed.
CPM supporter Sherrill was killed and party supporter Vineesh was seriously injured in the blast during bomb making. At present, the accused are not out on bail due to other cases, although they have been granted bail. Sections punishable with imprisonment of up to six months have been charged against them. The police said that Kappa will also be charged against Mithun Lal and VP Vineesh, the other accused in the blast case.
A case was registered against 15 people in bomb making. Accused Amal Babu and Athul are still in jail. Officials also informed that it has not been decided whether to charge Kappa against them. The court granted bail to the accused because the chargesheet was not filed even after 90 days of the blast.
