Kannur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated Thalassery Mahi Bypass to the nation. The bypass has been inaugurated through a video conference by the Prime Minister. The reality is that the first six-lane road in Malabar to be built as part of the National Highway development.
In his inaugural speech, the Prime Minister said that the bypass was dedicated to the nation. Thousands of people came to watch the live streaming at a special venue prepared by Chonath. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan and Chief Minister attended the function from Thiruvananthapuram.
Free vehicular travel was allowed on the bypass on Sunday as part of the trial run. Toll collection will be done through FASTag system. If you don’t have FASTag, you have to pay double the toll rate.
