Wayanad: Police arbitrarily removed the flux boards welcoming Annamalai. The police changed the boards welcoming the Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai, who is coming to Mananthavadi for the election campaign of K. Surendran.
This led to an argument between K Surendran and the police.
Annamalai’s road show is also being held today as part of the election campaign in Mananthavadi. BJP workers put up boards in the city last night. The dispute arose over the places where the boards were placed. The boards were removed around 9.30 by the police and the Election Commission’s flying squad
An altercation broke out between K Surendran and the police who came to the spot after learning about the incident. BJP workers installed boards in the city in the presence of K Surendran. Following the protests of the activists, the officials and the police withdrew from the place.
