Thrissur: The police stopped the sale of Bharat rice in Thrissur Mullashery. The police explained that the distribution of Bharat rice was stopped because the by-elections in the panchayat were close. After the supply of rice was stopped, there was an argument between the police and the BJP workers.
By-elections will be held in the seventh ward of Mullashery panchayat on Thursday. When the BJP workers questioned the blocking of the distribution of rice, the police withdrew from blocking the distribution.
