Thiruvananthapuram: Higher Education Minister R Bindu has said that strict action will be taken in the incident of the loss of MBA answer sheets at Kerala University. The minister, who said that strict action will be taken against the teacher, also said that he suspects the possibility of sabotage. A comprehensive investigation has been ordered. Minister R Bindu also strongly accused the incident of negligence.
The minister added that such an incident has occurred at a time when universities in Kerala are doing well. He does not believe that there has been any lapse on the part of the university. He has been instructed to investigate in detail and submit a report. He has also assigned a high-ranking official of the district to look into the matter, the minister said.
The Registrar informed that a complaint has been filed with the DGP regarding the loss of answer sheets. The answer sheets of the Project Finance paper of Finance stream MBA students of the 2022-2024 batch of Kerala University were lost. The answer sheets sent for evaluation were lost from the teacher. Since the evaluation was not completed, the results could not be declared even after the course was completed. The university has directed these students to write the re-examination.
The exam was held on May 31. The answer sheets, which are distributed in bundles, will be handed over to the teachers from the university for evaluation. They can be taken home and marked. A teacher from a college in Palakkad lost 71 answer sheets that were sent in this manner. The teacher explained to the university that the answer sheets were lost during the journey.
