Rain Warnings Updated; Orange Alerts Withdrawn in Three Districts

The orange alerts issued earlier for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta districts have been withdrawn. Meanwhile, a Yellow Alert has been issued for four districts due to the possibility of isolated heavy rain. These districts are Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts may experience moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds up to 40 km/h over the next three hours. Other districts are likely to receive moderate rain in isolated areas.

The IMD has also warned of the possibility of very heavy rainfall at Sabarimala, particularly in Sannidhanam, Nilakkal, and Pampa. Thunderstorms are expected in isolated areas of the state by evening.
