Rape case accused actor Siddique will appear before the police today. A notice was issued to Siddique to appear at the Crime Branch office in Thiruvananthapuram. After being granted interim bail by the Supreme Court, Siddique had sent an e-mail to the police saying that he was ready to appear for questioning.
In response to this, a notice to appear was issued to Siddique. The notice was issued by the investigating officer, Assistant Commissioner, Narcotics Cell. Siddique will be released after questioning today.
Siddique issued the letter after the police did not issue a notice for questioning days after he was granted interim bail. Siddique’s move was to inform the Supreme Court about the fact that the letter had been given when the anticipatory bail petition was re-considered on 22nd of this month.
Meanwhile, the special team gave notice to appear. After the High Court rejected anticipatory bail, Siddique, who was absconding, was released with the order of the Supreme Court.
