Actor Ravi Teja has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in Hyderabad to face questioning in the on-going money laundering and drugs probe. After Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet Singh and others, Ravi Teja is the 5th Tollywood personality to appear before ED. The actor will be questioned in connection with a money-laundering probe linked to 2017’s drugs case.
Along with Ravi Teja, his driver Srinivas has also received summons by the ED and questioning began at 10:30 AM on Thursday. The questioning is expected to last till the end of the day. The actor arrived at the office from his farmhouse instead of his house to avoid the media but he could not avoid them at the ED office. The actor arrived at the ED office and was questioned by the media; he refused to answer them as he headed in. It remains to be seen how many hours the actor will be questioned. All the actors who appeared previously brought along their bank statements and Rakul was seen carrying files while Rana carried a laptop. Ravi Teja was also seen heading in with his chartered accountant to explain why money has allegedly gone to an individual named Kelvin and other accounts abroad. In 2017, the actor was grilled for 10 hours in his alleged involvement with drugs in the city. Kelvin has been summoned and jointly questioned with Nandu and Rana Daggubati. Ravi Teja’s brothers were also previously accused in cases related to drugs but the actor has denied all allegations against him.
