Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Beverages Corporation has revealed the record liquor sales figures for Christmas Day and the day prior. On December 24 and 25, beverages outlets saw record sales, with a total of ₹152.06 crore in liquor sales.
On the 24th, liquor worth ₹97.42 crore was sold, and on the 25th, ₹54.64 crore worth of liquor was sold. In comparison, last year, liquor worth ₹71 crore was sold on the 24th and ₹51.14 crore on the 25th. The highest liquor sales on the 24th occurred at the Beverages Corporation’s shop in Chalakudy, amounting to ₹78 lakh. The Changansheri outlet recorded ₹66.88 lakh in sales, and the Old Uchakada shop in Thiruvananthapuram made ₹64.15 lakh in sales.
