Thrissur: A family has raised a complaint alleging that medical negligence led to the death of their one-year-old child. The complaint has been filed against the Vincent de Paul Hospital in Ollur. The child was brought to the private hospital after experiencing a fever.
Relatives claim that the child was treated by a nurse in the absence of a pediatrician. They state that no treatment was provided to the child from 4:30 PM to 9 PM. Following a deterioration in the child’s condition at 9 PM, the child was transferred to another hospital, where the death occurred.
However, the private hospital asserts that the treatment was administered as per the pediatrician’s instructions. They argue that due to the child’s condition, they were unable to administer medication through injections. The child’s parents have filed a complaint at the Ollur police station regarding the incident.
