Thiruvalla: A case has been registered against a senior civil police officer who came to the police station under the influence of alcohol and created a ruckus. The incident took place last Monday night at the Tiruvalla Police Station G.D. at the station. A case was registered against Rajkumar, who was in charge.
He used to get drunk, behave abnormally and make noise while on duty. The other policemen thought that the incident should not be reported to the higher level, but later when the situation worsened, the CI filed a complaint against him.
Even when Rajkumar was taken to Taluk Hospital for medical examination to prove that he was drunk, the ruckus continued. An internal investigation has been completed against him. A recommendation was given to the District Police Chief that strong action should be taken including shifting to a distant place.
