Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Jayasurya is set to appear at the police station today in connection with a sexual assault case. A Kochi-based actress has accused him of sexual misconduct during the filming of a movie at the Secretariat.
The incident allegedly took place in 2008, and the Cantonment Police had registered the case. The High Court had granted Jayasurya conditional bail in the case, instructing that he should be questioned and, if arrested, released on bail. The actor has been served notice to appear before the investigating officer, the Cantonment SHO, at 10 AM today, which he is expected to comply with.
