The beloved Malayalam singer MG Sreekumar was honored by Sharjah Ruler H.E. Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al Marzouqi. The unique recognition came to MG Sreekumar during a private musical event, where he was offered a share in the Sharjah Ruler’s school and a position on its board of directors. MG Sreekumar shared his joy over this honor on social media.
“I am truly grateful for the immense honor given to me by Sharjah’s H.E. Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al Marzouqi, appointing me as a board member in his educational institution. When I said I will work for you, he replied, ‘No, you are my partner and board member.’ Thank you, sir.”
MG Sreekumar is an irreplaceable talent in the Malayalam playback singing industry. He is one of the most cherished singers among Malayalees, and there are few who don’t listen to at least one of his songs daily. Over a career spanning forty years, he has sung more than 20,000 songs.
