Kochi: Actor Shine Tom Chacko has been served a police notice, directing him to appear in person tomorrow. According to the notice, he has been asked to report at the Ernakulam North Police Station at 10 AM on Saturday. Since the police have been unable to locate Shine, the notice will be handed over to his family.
If he appears, Shine Tom Chacko will be questioned under the supervision of the Central ACP. The main focus of the inquiry is to determine why the actor fled the scene when the DANSAF team arrived at the hotel for a narcotics inspection. However, no drugs were found during the search of his hotel room.
Reports suggest that Shine Tom Chacko is currently in Tamil Nadu. The last known mobile tower location places him in Pollachi, according to police sources. His father has stated to the media that Shine will cooperate with the investigation.
The actor fled from a hotel in Ernakulam North during a surprise inspection conducted as part of “Operation D Hunt” the other night. The DANSAF team had received a tip-off about possible drug use in the actor’s hotel room and reached the private hotel in Kochi. Shine reportedly escaped on a bike and was last seen heading toward a five-star hotel in Bolgatty. From there, police believe he left the state.
