Arjun, who died in the Shirur landslide, was received by his hometown. Arjun, a native of Kozhikode Kandykal, who died in a landslide in Shirur, will now be laid to rest in his hometown. Many people stood to pay their respects to Arjun while waiting for the funeral procession carrying Arjun’s dead body.
Later he entered Kozhikode district at six o’clock. Here, Minister AK Saseendran and Kozhikode District Collector received the dead body on behalf of the state government. The dead body will be cremated in the home grounds after an hour’s public viewing.
Arjun’s remains, including his phone and clothes, were brought in the car following the ambulance. The final journey was also through the same route that Arjun took with a lorry loaded with logs. The ambulance left Karwar district hospital at 6 pm on Friday. Arjun’s brother Abhijit and brother-in-law Ji were with him.
