Nehru Trophy Boat Race will be held in Punnamadakayal today. The matches will start at 11 am. The main attraction is the chundan boat race from 2 pm onwards. The matches are scheduled to finish at 5:30 pm. A holiday has been declared for five taluks of Alappuzha district today on the occasion of boat festival.
74 boats, including 19 Chundan boats, are participating in the 2024 Nehru Trophy Boat Race. Boating enthusiasts are waiting to know who will win the Nehru Trophy. The boat race, postponed in the wake of the Wayanad disaster, is starting after a month’s wait. Tourists, including foreigners, started arriving at Punnamadakayal to watch the race, waiting for only seconds to get excited.
